The ramblings of an English mother trying to emigrate with her American family to the US.
Michelle met Jeremy whilst travelling in Australia and they got married in England in 2002. Jeremy secured his British citizenship and has been living in the UK for the past 9 years. The Goddards have now decided to emigrate to the states where the little ones, Dylan & Josie, will be able to go to Sudbury Valley School with their cousins.

Crazy timing
There was always a sneaking suspicion in our minds that this just wasn't going to happen. We were having so many worries about what to do when we arrived in the US that it just seemed like an insurmountable task. Well maybe I knew that I was pregnant! Yes I just did the test (three in fact) and we are having another baby. So it makes a lot of sense that we stay here where Jeremy already has a secure job (albeit not paying vast sums) and a free healthcare system that will provide all the antenatal and birthing options we could possibly need. Of course we are turning down the opportunity to live rent free in the US for a while and the huge support network of friends and family that we were looking forward to , but it seems a little crazy to head over into the unknown with an extra mouth to feed (I'll be eating for two from today!!).
